Mr. Sanjay Kalsi, the founder of JD Solitaire is an accredited gemologist and jewellery designer. He believes that jewellery is made for everyone and works with the motto of ‘Affordable luxury for all.

Mr. Kalsi with his profound experience of 27 years is also a known as a Diamond Jewellery Expert, Solitaire Specialist, Certified Gemologist, Author, and Jewellery Store operations Coach.

Besides his professional self, Mr. Kalsi is an avid reader, foodie by heart, and a sports lover. He is keen to travel for inspiration and have visited all the major jewellery exhibition and top jewelers in the world.

JD Solitaire is the crowned jewel, crafted by Mr. Sanjay Kalsi, the founder and managing director of the company. His patience, perseverance, and hard work are all behind the making of the brand.

Mr. Kalsi’s untiring hard work and passion to create jewellery for everyone has made him a known figure in the industry and provided him with a number of loyal customers.

Today the brand itself stands for Trust, authenticity, fair business practices, and unparalleled customer experiences. The journey began two and half decades ago:

From 1992-1996: Mr. Kalsi became an accredited gemologist and gained expertise. He then went on to understand the nuances of the industry while working in multiple business operations, factories, with retailers, and selling jewellery to both customers and businesses.

In 1993, Mr. Kalsi started with a small-diamond collection, which became popular with the customers.

In 1996, Mr. Kalsi opened his first jewellery store in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi which took him on a successful journey of building JD Solitaires in the years to come. He was able to gain the trust and loyalty of numerous customers owing to his warm and welcoming attitude

From 2006 & 2017: The Company had gained a huge reputation and the business expanded internationally. It was all possible because of the vision and execution of Mr. Kalsi. The team he nurtured over the years developed into a well-coordinated unit, bringing excellent buying experience to the customers.

In 2017 & still counting: The golden era of JD Solitaire

Mr. Kalsi expanded his business and opened another shop in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. Having started with diamonds, JD Solitaire has now expanded their competencies to other jewellery like gold, platinum, and gemstones and thus, became a complete jewellery brand in itself.

JD Solitaire has come a long way from a small diamond collection shop to a brand offering more than 5,900 designs today. The brand has excelled in its mark as an ‘Experts in solitaire jewellery’.
